The Restaurant and Bar – This excellent restaurant has a rosette standard menu with local ingredients and you can dine in comfort in the lounge, restaurant, in the attractive grounds, or your own private eating area. The Old Bakehouse – is an award-winning family-run Mediterranean restaurant and coffee shop in Rothwell. It won the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence in 2014, and hosts various special evenings including Rat Pack events and Mediterranean nights with live Greek dancing.

The Gurkhas Bar and Orchid Restaurant – Serving Indian and Nepalese food, this restaurant in Desborough has some rave reviews. It’s open every evening from 6pm (except Sundays) and takeaways are available.

Langberrys at Kettering Park Hotel – This hotel restaurant on the outskirts of Kettering has been awarded an AA rosette. It features a wide variety of menu choices including international dishes and local and seasonal specials. You can also enjoy tapas here on Fridays and Saturdays.

The Raj – This is another Indian restaurant with some excellent reviews in Kettering. Menu choices include firm favourites, as well as surprises such as Red Snapper and Lobster. It has a large dining area and a cocktail piano bar.

Lee Garden – If you like Chinese and Thai food, you can find this restaurant in Horse Market, Kettering. It has had some great reviews and the good news is that if you are short of time, you can also order a takeout from here.

The Overstone Arms – This village pub in Pytchley recently reopened after a two month closure and its philosophy is ‘well cooked food at reasonable prices.’ As well as the a la carte menu, it also has a Sunday carvery, and is supported by a loyal clientele.

The Wheatsheaf – Further afield in Titchmarsh, ten miles from Kettering is this gastro pub. The owners specialise in quality food, freshly prepared on the premises and also cater for large parties and special occasions. It has a good mix of vegetarian, seafood and meat dishes.

Pheasant – The award-winning Pheasant at Kayston, 11 miles from Kettering, is a traditional inn frequented for its food since the 1960’s. It has a relaxed ambience with a garden room, patio area, and warm, welcoming interior with a roaring fire in winter. It was winner of the Cambridge Dining Pub of the year 2014.

Bars and Nightclubs

If you like to party the night away, Kettering has a range of bars, pubs and nightclubs to cater for all tastes.

Club Rehab – is a 1,400 capacity club with four bars, a roof garden, and two dance floors and is open until 4am. Its music ranges from R ‘n’ B, club classics, Electro and Old Skool, and the dress code is smart/casual.

The Loft – Situated at Abacus Taverns, it describes itself as a ‘sophisticated nightclub and VIP area’, based in the heart of town. The Loft is on three floors and theme nights are held throughout the year including ‘Old Skool Disco’ and trance nights.

The Olive Lounge – For something that little bit different, head to the Olive Lounge champagne and wine bar in Rothwell. You can find it behind the Old Bakehouse Restaurant, and you can enjoy wine, champagne, cocktails, mezzes and tapas.
